Education Requirements:

Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace/aeronautical, manufacturing, preferred).

Capability Requirements:

Proficiency in writing materials specifications.

In addition, the engineer must be capable of performing the following materials tasks:

• Interface with materials application engineer and specification owners.

• Analyse and use materials performance requirements.

• Substantiate specification requirements. Write specification to meet configuration requirements.

• Generate and deliver technical/program presentations to internal and external customers as required

• Support and be responsive to materials engineering and sourcing customers.

• Write Design Study Summaries (Design Definition Record), Technical Memorandums, Coordination Memos, and Certification Reports as required to document design and materials engineering activity on assigned components.

• Interface with global engineering organizations and other internal design organizations as required to support design activity on assigned components.

Computer Requirements:

PC-based Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ANSYS Classic, UG NX, CREO, PLM Teamcenter, SAP, and other specified applications to complete mechanical design activities.
