We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Parts Order Analyst in York, PA.

The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Job Summary

The Parts Order Analyst role schedules, plans and oversees material procurement, production and delivery processes.

Additional Info:

  • This position is based in York, PA and does not offer relocation

  • This position is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules

  • Up to 5% travel possible (domestically)

What You Will Do:

  • Assists with set up and implementation of the autonomous equipment

  • Scheduling and releasing incoming shipments

  • Providing customer service to dealers

  • Participates in scheduling production and delivery processes in accordance with current productivity and cost efficiency standards.

  • Develops and executes material planning for a product line to ensure that all material requirements for assigned programs are met within the allocated time frame.

  • Organizes the flow of materials within the manufacturing unit and the transferring of materials to and from the inventory or warehouse.

  • Generates forecasts and manages replenishment planning for parts and materials to ensure specified service levels are met.

  • Maintaining incoming shipment reports.

What You Have (Basic Skills Required):

  • Inventory Management - MFG : Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.

  • Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Data Analytics : Knowledge of techniques and processes for inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data; ability to discover useful information, draw logical conclusions, and support decision-making.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills

  • SAP experience

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Being able to work independently and in a team setting
